What types of issues can online counseling help with?

Online counseling can help with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship problems. For those individuals experiencing active psychosis in-person sessions are a better fit.

What technology do I need for online counseling?

You will need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone), and a private space to conduct your sessions.

Is my information confidential and secure?

Yes, we are a HIPAA compliant practice so your information is confidential and all sessions are conducted using a HIPAA compliant platform.

Do you offer emergency and crisis support?

Thrive Through Change Counseling is NOT an emergency/crisis clinic. We do not provide crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 988 or the crisis hotline 800-811-4760.

What is your cancellation/no-show policy?

Appointments canceled within 24 hrs of the scheduled appointment time are charged a $100 late cancellation fee. If you do not join the session within the first 15 min of the scheduled appointment, it is considered a no-show and you will be charged a $100 no show/late cancellation fee.

How much does it cost?

For private pay clients:

Intake sessions 60 min $200

Counseling session 53 min $175

AD/Veterans 50 min session $100

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are in-network for the following insurance companies: United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, BlueCross/Shield. For questions regarding your co-pays, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs contact your insurance company directly.
